Missy is making excellent choices

Missy is doing a very good job choosing dog toys to chew on. Australian Shepherds love to chew, chew, chew. Missy came to us chewing on everything. We've consistently been 'ert'ing her for carpets, taking away shoes and spraying furniture with Bitter Apple. However the key to winning the chewing battle is to give her something that is approved to chew on which in our house is dog toys. Since she is looking for something to chew on in every room we have several toys in every room so there is always one handy to give to her. It is working great! Now she almost always goes for the dog toy first.

The dogs spent the morning chasing each other, chewing on each other and wrestling. After wards they decided to retire to a bush for some rest.

Nothing like taking a break in the shade.

And then they passed out in the house.
